Updating your Proofpoint Essentials Password In The Portal

Situation You need to change your password in the user interface.
Solution See below for how to change your password in your User Profile and enable SMS Password Reset if desired.

 

Forgot Password

If you forgot your password and cannot log-in, please see this KB on how to reset your password.

Change/Update password in Profile

  1. After logging in to the interface, click on the 'person' icon in the upper right and click on ProfileScreenshot (4).png
  2. Under Profile, towards the bottom, find Change Password.

  3. Enter your new password in the field.
  4. Type it again in the Retype New Password field.
  5. Click Save.

Password Requirements for administrator accounts

  • Passwords must be 12 characters long.
  • Passwords must contain at least one uppercase letter.
  • Passwords must contain at least one lowercase letter.
  • Passwords must contain at least one numerical character.
  • Passwords must contain at least one special character.
Remember: Passwords expire after 90 days.
