Feature Descriptions

The package you have purchased determines which features are available. You can enable/disable these additional features as necessary.

Feature	Description
Instant Replay	Allows messages processed by Essentials to be re-sent to the original recipient. Instant Replay can be used for emails one, two, three, or 30 days after they are processed.
Outbound Relaying	Processes outbound messages (inbound messages are processed by default).
Disclaimers	Allows disclaimers (company-wide, group-specific or individual) to be added to outbound messages.
SMTP Discovery	Allows messages to be received and sent by non-licensed users for a configurable amount of time before requiring that user accounts for them be created in Essentials.
Data Loss Prevention	Allows administrative users to access additional objects when creating filters. Objects include smart identifiers (credit card numbers, drug codes, etc.) and pre-defined dictionaries. Available with Business, Advanced, and Professional packages only.
URL Defense	Protects users from accessing known malicious sites by locating and replacing URLs that are found within the message body with another URL that links to Proofpoint, where the URL is validated. If it is found to be valid, the user sees the target of the URL. If it is found to be unsafe, the user sees a page informing them that the site is not safe and has been blocked. Available with Business, Advanced, and Professional packages only.
Attachment Defense	Scans supported attachment types against Proofpoint's attachment reputation service. Messages containing a known malicious attachment are blocked from delivery. Available with Business, Advanced, and Professional packages only.
Social Media Account Protection	Powered by Proofpoint's Nexgate division, prevents social media account hacks, automatically removes malicious or inappropriate content, prevents unauthorized publishing applications, and enforces compliance policies in real time.
Email Encryption	Allows administrative users to create filters that will encrypt an email when specific conditions are met, such as an embedded trigger term (e.g., Confidential, Sensitive, Encrypt, etc.), or when sensitive data is found. Available with Advanced and Professional packages only.
Email Archive	Automatically preserves all emails and attachments for up to 10 years. Allows designated discovery users as well as users to search archived email. Available with Professional package only.
