Functional Accounts Not Receiving Emails

Situation Inbound Email not received by Functional Accounts in a Distribution List.
Solution Modify the Distribution List Properties in Exchange per the steps below.


Emails sent inbound to a distribution list are showing delivered within Proofpoint Essentials but not reaching the distribution list.


Within Exchange under the Distribution list properties, there is a parameter that needs to be modified so that external emails can be received.

Follow these steps  to make the modification:

  1. Select Properties for the desired distribution list.
  2. Click Mail Flow Settings.
  3. Double-click Message Delivery Restrictions.
  4. Uncheck Require that all senders are authenticated.
