Custom Branding

Situation You want to customize the branding and logo that appears in your welcome emails, quarantine digest, and user interface.

See instructions below for how to:

  • View & change current digest logo settings
  • Locate the URL for the branded login screen


Strategic and Channel Partners have the ability to brand the user interface, welcome emails and quarantine digest with a custom logo and a specific header color. Strategic and channel administrators can only brand their own site. For example, a Strategic Administrator can update the brand of their site but they cannot update the brand of a reseller site.


By default, all companies created under your partner account will use the branding (colour scheme, logo, etc.) you have applied to your partner site.  If you would like the company to also have a branded login screen, please follow these steps.

The branding settings are located under: Administration > Account Management > Branding

From here, you can adjust these items:

  • Company Logo
  • Color Scheme
  • Login Page Text
  • From Name

Company Logo and Color Scheme

Logo Size

Logos should be high quality images. It is recommended that the maximum width should not exceed 250 pixels and the maximum height should not exceed 60 pixels.

In addition, the file size cannot exceed 50kb.

To update the log

  1. Navigate to Administration > Account Management > Branding.
  2. Click on Choose File and select the file with the logo.
  3. Choose an option from the Choose Color Scheme selection list (this will not impact the color scheme for the login page.)
  4. Click Save.

The custom logo will be used for these product parts:

  • Login screen
  • Main user interface
  • Quarantine digest email. 
  • Encryption notifications

From name

The FROM name (or display name) is what is given in your notifications. When received, it will appear as: on behalf of [FROM NAME].

Display Name

This is what your recipients will see. Please ensure you use something to your liking. If you input "Proofpoint Essentials Support," the customer will see this in the header:
From: on behalf of Proofpoint Essentials Support

The display name will show in these notifications.

  • Quarantine digest email
  • Encryption notifications
  • Welcome email
  • Password reset email

Locating the URL for branded login screen

To access the branded login screen, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the login screen.
  2. Log in using your existing account.
  3. The URL in the browser will change once you have successfully logged in.
  4. Identify the e id value from the URL
  5. Logout.
  6. Use the eid value and update the URL as follows:

Reverting to default account appearance settings

  1. Navigate to Administration > Account Management > Branding.
  2. Click Revert to default
  3. Click Save.

Reverting to default should make it go back to a plain branding.
