How do I retrieve internet headers from an email message?
The following steps explain how to provide the Support Team with email headers:
Microsoft Outlook 2010, 2013, 2016, and 365
- Double click the message to open it in a new window.
- Navigate to File > Properties.
- Left click in the box titled Internet Headers.
- Press Ctrl + A to select all the text in the internet headers box.
- Press Ctrl + C to copy the selected text.
Microsoft Outlook 98-2007
1. From the inbox, right click on the message.
2. Select Options (Message Options for Outlook 2007).
3. Left click in the box titled Internet Headers.
4. Press Ctrl + A to select all the text in the internet headers box.
5. Press Ctrl + C to copy the selected text.
Office 365
1. Open the message.
2. Click the down arrow next to the Reply all button.
3. Select View Message Details.
4. Press Ctrl + A to select the displayed text.
5. Press Ctrl + C to copy the selected text.
Gmail
1. Click on the message.
2. Click the next to the Reply button.
3. Select Show Original.
4. Press Ctrl + A to select the displayed text.
5. Press Ctrl + C to copy the selected text.
Hotmail
1. Open the message.
2. Right click in the message window and select View Source.
3. Left click in the source window and press Ctrl + A to select all
4. Press Ctrl + C to copy the selected text.
Yahoo! Mail
1. Open the message.
2. In the header at the top of the message, click the .
3. Select View Raw Message.
4. Press Ctrl + A to select all the text.
5. Press Ctrl + C to copy the selected text.
