Digest Reports being Quarantined

Situation As admin you noticed that quarantined digest are not being delivered. Checking the logs and digest reports are failing different spam checks like SPF, Spam filter, etc.


Solution

First, check if the user has any quarantined emails that have not been previously delivered and check this link for possible reasons:

Second, check if the digest reports we send are being forwarded by an internal rule in your email server configuration. Proofpoint Essentials doesn't support forwarding digest reports.

Digest Reports 

  1. Digest reports contains emails that have been quarantined by our filters rather than delivered to customers. Your quarantine digest settings determine whether your digest contains emails that were quarantined as a result of blocked sender entries set by you, by a group you belong to and/or by your company.
  2. Digest reports never show or appear in our front end logs because they are sent in the background from our servers. If you see a digest report in our logs, then you know that something is forwarding those reports.
  3. Main reason is because it contains all emails that triggered our spam filters. Therefore they will be quarantined if sent as normal email.

Forwarding Digest Reports:
Proofpoint Essentials doesn't support forwarding digest reports. When they are being forwarded they will be quarantined because of their content as explained above.
 
No exception for this this is by design.
